FIRST CONTACT CASUALTY: THE PURPLE HEART

Honor to the fallen

The threat is no longer theoretical. Today, a massive player-owned cargo ship returning from the Martian sector was intercepted and destroyed by an Alien fleet. The ship was heavily laden with resources; it did not survive the Jump-Drive ambush.
In recognition of this historic (and painful) moment, the Purple Heart Medal has been officially awarded to the owner. This serves as a reminder: the Solar System is now a theater of war. Space is no longer just "empty"—it is occupied.

THE INCURSION IS SPREADING


Alien Jump-Fleets have been confirmed near Mars, Venus, and Mercury. They are aggressive and will attack on-sight.
Intercept

  • WARNING: Do not leave ships in open orbit near these planets while offline.

  • PROTOCOL: Use the new "Evasive Stance" (cutting weapons for a 50% engine boost) to escape if you are outgunned.

  • CO-OP: Any nearby player can now join an ongoing battle. If you see a comrade under fire, burn your engines and assist.
