Greetings, pilots. The Order has called!
![]() |
Last log we told you the Bulwark Order wasn't building a rampart out there for decoration. Here is what they were building it for.
"Alien incursions are rising across the system — from the Belt to the outer worlds — and the Rampart of Mars stands as humanity's shield. Fit your ships for war, bring your combat pilots, and deploy your beacons and nanobots. The wall does not fall."
The Bulwark Call is live now. It runs for eight days and closes on 29 August. Development is still on its break until the 30th — the war doesn't wait for us.
🛡️ This one works differently
This is the first expedition built on the faction reputation system that shipped in 5.4.3, and it changes how you approach it.
You can't simply fly to Mars and start shooting. The Rampart's hardest missions — and its best rewards — open only to pilots who have already proved themselves further out. Take combat missions around the other worlds first and build standing with the Order:
The Moon — the gentlest place to start
Ceres, Mercury and Venus
Mars — the Rampart itself. The hardest fighting in the game, and the best paid
If you've been waiting for a reason to care about faction reputation, this is it. Standing is now the gate on the best content in the expedition.

🎖️ The Ares Medal
Three pilots leave this expedition wearing one. Gold, for first place: +25% laser range and laser power, +25% engine bonuses Silver, for second and third: +15% across the same Both run for 30 days, and both come with 0G credit rewards on topFor a month, the best gunner in the system will be measurably the best gunner in the system. That is the point.
📈 Gradus 7 pays
Reach Gradus 7 and it pays 100 0G credits, 250,000 UNc, and 200 Venture Tokens. That last figure is the one to read twice. Two hundred tokens per pilot who gets there means the Ventures that turn out in force this week will finish it very considerably richer than they started. If you've been meaning to organise your people, organise them now.🔧 Fit for war before you go
Most of what you earn along the way is combat materiel — nanobots and beacons — so the Call largely resupplies what you spend holding the line. Go in stocked anyway. The Ares Rampart Shipyard repairs battle damage and sells better hulls than the inner HQs. And Ironsight is still on the books at HR for 3,000 0Gc — engine and laser bonuses, forged for exactly this.🏛️ A note on how we build
We are very old school devs, and this is our legacy project so we are putting all our design efforts and resource in it and we privilege depth, realism and mechanics. In old school games graphics was really second or third priority, I still remember when I finished the Ultima III chapter of the saga where my character was like a "@" but I was so happy and satisfied. The update is live at space.zerog.live
