ZERO-G FLIGHT LOG #10 Alpha 5.1.8 — Ventures, the Asteroid Belt, and the Dart Solara

Ciao Pilots,
This round was about the people who fly together.
Ventures have always been the social backbone of Zero-G — corporations with shared wallets, modular starbases, and collective ambitions. Alpha 5.1.8 gives them the tools they deserved.

🌌 THE SOLAR SYSTEM MAP

The map got a significant upgrade. The Asteroid Belt is now visible. For now it's a visual placeholder — but it won't stay that way. Exploration content, resources, and combat inside the belt are coming. Consider this a preview of what lies between Mars and Jupiter. Ship tracking improvements:

Press P to cycle through different PSAR display modes
Blue pulsing dots: other players' ships
Red dots: alien fleets
Your own ship labels disappear at low zoom to reduce clutter

PSAR bug fixes — tracking and intercepting ships in sensor range now works correctly, including aliens in loiter phase that were previously invisible.
Press S (long press first, then fast press to cycle) to switch between scan display systems. Experiment and tell us what you prefer.

🏛️ VENTURE IMPROVEMENTS

The venture system has been rebuilt from the ground up with a focus on one thing: making it actually easy to run a corporation in space. What's new:

Venture Overview tab

a full at-a-glance summary of your corporation. The most important addition: a searchable list of every item in every depot and starbase across all your venture's locations. Click any location to jump there directly.

Manage Assets tab

directors and above can now see and manage all venture properties from a single panel. No more hunting across locations.

Venture Settings panel

directors can change all venture settings and increase the maximum member count. Searchable member list — find pilots fast. Pending applications now show directly on the venture list page.

Venture Tokens

a new currency that belongs to the venture, not the pilot.

VENTURE TOKENS

This is the most significant new mechanic in 5.1.8. Venture Tokens are earned two ways:

Passive income

Every time a pilot in your venture gains XP, the venture earns 1 Venture Token per 1,000 XP. Missions, XP injectors — all counted. The more active your pilots, the richer your corporation becomes.

Active reward

Special mission arcs coming soon will grant Venture Tokens directly. What do you spend them on? Venture-wide bonuses, special items, and rewards for all members simultaneously. A rising tide lifts all ships.

☀️ BULLA SOLSTITII IS LIVE

June brings a new monthly expedition: Bulla Solstitii. This expedition is built around scanning. Missions reward strong XP and UNc. XP injectors, 0Gc, Antimatter and Graphene are accessible within the first 2-3 Gradus. Notable changes from Bulla Mariana:

Reduced tokens needed to scale the Gradus — ranking is now more accessible
Significantly improved rewards at both Standard and Gold levels
15 Gradus from Sunseeker to Solstice Champion

Pro tips:

You can stack Bulla tokens across weeks and spend them on the expedition where you want maximum rewards
Always enroll in all active expeditions — cost is zero, upside is real
Stack same-type missions across factions: a "Fly 2 AU" mission taken from three factions completes all three simultaneously with one flight

🚀 THE DART SOLARA

A new ship has entered the Zero-G universe. The Dart Solara is the fastest ship in the game. Built for speed and reach, not brute force — 500km weapon range makes it the premier combat sniper, keeping distance while hitting targets other ships can't even see. How to get it:
